The unpredictable nature of the beast was never more clearly seen on the 18th August 1848. 400 boats set out, only 124 returned.

    In today's celebrity-obsessed culture, young people are pressured into making misguided decisions, influenced by the media. Alcohol, drugs and irresponsible behaviour are glamorised instead of talent and confidence youngsters should value. Our production portrays an impressionable girl looking up to her fashion icons this admiration turns to obsession she's desperate to mimic the beauty and attitude of her idol.

"Bus 174"

    Bus 174 was hijacked in Rio on Valentines Day 2000. It was broadcast live for 4½ hours. The whole country stopped to watch the drama on TV. Our dance tells the amazing life story of the hijacker, revealing how a typical Rio street kid was transformed into a violent criminal because society systematically denied him any kind of social existence.

Tragically, they were refused asylum and were forced to return to their country, where they were killed.     200 years ago, slavery was abolished. Prior to that, thousands of men, women and children were stolen away from their African homes and transported in appalling conditions across the Atlantic to work on the plantations. Life was harsh, yet despite terrible conditions slaves never gave up hope and 200 years ago they won their battle against oppression, and slavery was abolished.

    Athens. Youths are taken to Crete to be sacrificed to the Minotaur. Theseus, son of Ageus, is one of them. If he kills the creature, the ritual is ended.
    He must hoist white sails as a sign of victory. Helped by Ariadne, the Minotaur is destroyed but while celebrating his success will our "hero" remember those people important to him ?

"Amazing Journey"

    Ours is a story of acceptance and catharsis. Our central character, Tommy, witnesses a terrible scene which dominates his mind for years until finally, finding an outlet in a game and being given the love and support of close friends, he eventually comes back to reality and lives a normal life, leaving the past behind.

    Based on Beauty and the Beast, our journey leads us through the forest of entrapment and the magical palace of the beast. The dishonesty of the merchant results in Beauty having to live with the Beast. As the story unfolds we learn not to trust our eyes. Eventually fear turns into love and they all live happily ever after.

    In our production we look at how tribal dance has impacted dancing through the ages. The tribal leaders are taken in a time machine to visit dancers throughout history. They observe the evolution of dance and finally recognise the echoes of their own dancing in the modern urban dance scene. We close with all ages celebrating dance together.

    Naomi, having become a parent while still a child, is overwhelmed by powerful and conflicting emotions. With no support from her parents she is exhausted and in despair, fearing for her sanity and the life of her child. Naomi's inner turmoil is represented as a journey through emotional states corresponding to Earth, Air, Fire and Water. The journey ends in a redemptive peace.

    A modern version of a classic fairy tale. As Little Red Riding Hood innocently sets off on her short journey to visit her sick Grandma, she comes across a gand of "hoodie" wolves. Can they influence her to follow the crowd, or will Little Red Riding Hood be strong enough to make the right choice ?

    Holocaust - definition - a burnt sacrifice - but to millions worldwide, Holocaust depicts the systematic extermination of approximately 6,000,000 Jews. In 1942, Hitler's "Final Solution" became an official policy and major obsession of the Nazi regime, and from that point on, camps were constructed for the express purpose of mass extermination, principally of Jews but of other groups as well.

    FACT: each year, 5000 more people will experiment with cocaine. Up to 75% of people who try it will become addicted. Our dance depicts the constant struggle between a person and their addiction. The dependence upon it, their fear yet need of it and their battle to not be all-consumed by it, eventually destroying their mind ... and their world.

Like any technology, the cards will be susceptible to corruption and cloning, and conspiracy theories are already rife concerning the Government's real reasons for wanting ID Cards in place. Is it a need for national intelligence, or simply a breach of human rights ?

Good triumphs over eveil when the vicious Warden is exposed as a fraud. Inspired by their success, their peers cast aside conformity and become themselves.

    A two-part dance that welds into one. Lost ... lonely ... alone. That feeling of not fitting in, of being different, of being the odd one out. Shunned by everyone. Trapped, tormented, terrified. Manipulated minds playing games. A tangled web of darkening thoughts. A tormented soul eventually takes courage and transcends the barriers of fear.

    What would your first thoughts be if you saw a robot ? Our story explores feelings and emotions as a robot destroys itself and is then rebuilt by the concerned creatures of the sea. Our theme was influenced by the story of The Iron Man by Ted Hughes.

By reusing them we were recycling their symbols. "Wheelie Bins" arrived ! So we combined the two. Our aim, for "Green" reasons - and lack of funding - was only to use recycled materials.

Early on 26th December 2005, as a result of an earthquake measuring 8.9 on the Richter scale, a tsunami crashed onto the shores of Sri Lanka, drowning thousands and swamping a civilisation. The world witnessed chaos and destruction, as Mother Nature looked on.

As a tribute to one of the best-loved racehorses we have re-created Dessie's most famous victories at the 1989 Cheltenham Gold Cup.
